SCOTT YOUNG
Scott Young is 30-ish, much taller than me, and a New Zealand travel writer.
His writing is as charming as himself, and although he probably thinks I'm
puffing up his ego, I've never met a writer who was more "real".
In other words, he didn't have a bazillion letters after his name or stuffily took up
writer-in-residence in large cities. Nor does he write from afar; where he's at is what he
writes about.
When we first e-mailed, he was in New Zealand. Then he went on a whirlwind tour through
Canada, before stopping in the city where I live. Right now he is in Poland,
about to publish Krakow In Your Pocket online.
