Whiskey

I think out of all of Ralph Steadman's work, I like the beer and booze advertising best. Some may say that this is selling out; but it allows his work to be displayed in some very delightful forms and reach out to a larger audience. For example, I was so thrilled to be walking through Eau Claire Market and see one of the whiskey ads in the window of the liquor mart. Many of the items, such as glasses and coasters, are very collectible and affordable as well.

If you are looking for Steadman items, I highly recommend John Dinsmore and Red Snapper Books. eBay is also a good source of books and whiskey items.

Bonny Doon Vineyard

Steadman has done quite a few labels for the eclectic Bonny Doon Vineyard, where humour and high-brow tastes meet.

Oddbins

Oddbins is a chain of informal wine shops that launched in the 1960s. Its goal was to take the pretentiousness out of buying wine, and apparently they open about 10-15 new stores a year. Advertising, t-shirts and catalogue covers have all been illustrated by Steadman for the chain.

Road Dog Ale

Road Dog Ale is the legendary brew of the Flying Dog Brew Pub in Aspen. The label has a colourful history, and you can read about the obscenity suit in more detail on their site.
